PARKLAND HOSPITAL

PARKLAND HOSPITAL

The largest hospital construction project in America, the new $1.27 billion, LEED Gold, Parkland Hospital, has one place to eat, and a small team was responsible for its design. As the Project Manager and Building Information Modeling Manager, while with SM Architects, Bryan Pravda helped develop the space, which includes food preparation, food service, and dining. He was the point-person for interior design, program layout, production of construction documents, and coordination with engineers, consultants, the Contractor, and City officials, as well as developing Building Information Modeling standards and protocols in coordination with the other architects of record at HDR and Corgan. When completed, Parkland Hospital won the Texas Society of Architects Design Award.
